Minimalism & Zero Waste | Dr. Bronner’s Organic Pure-Castile Soap

In all we do, let us be generous, fair & loving to Spaceship Earth and all its inhabitants. For we’re ALL-ONE OR NONE! ALL-ONE!

Hello friends,

Today I’m excited to share with you my thoughts on Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Pure-Castile Soap!

Why am I so excited? Well, after stumbling upon this in an organic wholefoods store and hearing about it in countless minimalism & zero waste videos, I decided to try out the product for myself. The reason it’s called 18-in-1 is because it has 18 different uses: “shave, shampoo, shower, bath, mop, launder, degrease” and more. I’ve used the soap for much fewer uses, but I still absolutely love how much it has, and will, simplify my life.

The pure-castile soap is certified fair trade, and made with organic oils certified by the USDA National Organic Program: organic coconut, palm kernel, olive, hemp and jojoba. It’s also packaged in a 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle!

A little about the brand:

Dr Bronner’s was founded in 1948 by Emanuel Bronner, a third generation master soapmaker from a German-Jewish family. He used the labels on his superb ecological soaps to spread his message that we must realize our transcendent unity across religious and ethnic divides or perish: “We Are All-One or None!” Emanuel Bronner passed away peacefully on March 7th of 1997. The business continues to be run by the Bronner family.

I love the story behind Dr Bronner’s, and especially what’s called “The Moral ABC” written on the label – messages of love, hope, unity, and world peace. Dr Bronner was known to be eccentric, calling our planet Spaceship Earth, and this just adds to my intrigue and fascination with the brand.

The pure-castile soap itself is delightful. I love the soft, floral scent and honest, simple & effective formula. So far, I’ve used the soap for 5 different uses and found that it works wonders:

– As a face wash, which leaves my face feeling fresh and squeaky clean

– As a super mild, gentle hand wash and shampoo

– As a makeup brush cleaner, as it lifts and rinses out makeup with ease

– As a household cleaner, with just a little mixed with water & isopropyl

So far, I’m impressed. Dr Bronner’s 18-in-1 Pure-Castile Soap is ethical and effective, as well as being incredibly versatile. I’ll surely continue to replace more household and beauty items with Dr Bronner’s, especially because it will help to reduce waste. I’m thrilled to support a brand that promotes a positive message, and can’t wait to try out the other delicious fragrances – including Lavender, Citrus, Tea Tree, Almond, Jasmine & Sandalwood, and Peppermint!
